WELLINGTON WOOL AND SKIN SALES.
Messbs Levin and Co., Ltd., report:— We offered to-day 50 bales wool and 2500 sheep skins. Several new operators in sheep skins put in an appearance at the sale, and competition wan very brisk. Good crossbred skins advanced |-d per lb; line skins Jd, and dead skins }d. Crutchings advanced %d f and any superior lots reached 3-Jd per lb. We quote—Merino skins, 6d to 7d: fine crossbreds, s|d to 6d; medium crossbreds, 4Jd to 3d ; short wools, 3£d to 4-Jd; dead skins, 3d to 4cl; lamb skina, 4Jd to sd.
