Letters.—Each £oz or fraction thereof: Inland, United Kingdom, British Possessions, Chili, Costa Rica, Egypt, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru. Paraguay, Portugal and Portuguese Colonies, Siam, Switzerland, South Sea Islands, Aden, British Postal Agencies in China, Canada, Cape Colony, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Mauritius, New Hebrides, Orang'o River Colony, St Helena, Transvaal, Windward Islands, Id ; Australia, Id; all other places 2|d. Letter Cards.—Countries mentioned above, Id ; Australia, Id each. Post Cards.—All places, single Id, reply 2d. Books and Printed Papers. — All places, |d for each 2oz. Special'rates for Queensland. Commercial Papers.—Town, |d if not exceeding |oz., or Id for the first 402 and |d for each succeeding 2oz; Inland, Id for the first 4oz or less, and |d for each succeeding 2oz; Australia and other places, 2|d for the first lOoz, and ~|d for each succeeding 2oz, Special rates for Queensland.

Patterns and Sample Packets. —All places, not exceeding 4oz, Id; every additional 2oz Special rates for Queensland. Newspapers.—Town and Inland, Id each; Australia (except Queensland), South Sea Islands and Canada, Id each ; for Queensland and other countries, Id each if not exceeding 4oz, and Id for each additional 2oz.

Parcels.—lnland, 6d ,for the first lib an 3d for each succeeding lib ; Australian Colonies, Cook, Samoan, Norfolk, and Hawaiian Islands, 8d for the u>st lib, and 6d for each succeeding lib; for all other countries the charges vary.

Registration.—The fee for all places is 3d.

Letters. -Letters not fully prepaid, or posted wholly unpaid, are charged double the deficiency at the prepaid rate on delivery. No letter may exceed 2ft in length or Ift in width or depth. Letters containing valuables must be registered.

Late fee Letters, &0., must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage, Id for inland letters, Id for letters for United Kingdom, Australia and the South Sea Islands, 2|d for all 'other places.

Cable Telegrams, International. — (Europe, cheapest route) 3s per word.

Cable Telegrams, Intercolonial. — (N.S.W., lowest charge) 4|d per word. Other colonies various rates.

Inland Telegrams.—Minimum rate: 6d for 12 words, including address and signature.

Telephone Exchange Connections.— From £5 to £7 per annum.
