The weather was fine and there was a good attendance for the second day's race 3. The course was in better order than yesterday. Kelburu ... ... 1 Secret Society ... ... 2 Zealous ... ... 3 Pallas and Clanbnrn also started. i Secret Society led for part of the way, I when Pallas went to the front. At the i distance Kelburn came through, and, holding his own to the fini3h, won easily by two lengths. Time, lmin 44aecs. Dividend, £2 10s. TnIAL HANDICAP. Lee F-nfield ... ... 1 Firebrand ... ... 2 All started. Won by a length. The rest of the field wore so closo together that the judge had much difficulty in placing the second horse. Time, lmin 18sec. Won by two lengths after a good race, a head between second and third horse. Time, lmin 31 4-sth sec 3. Dividend, £3. WAKANUI HANDICAP. Hypnotist ... ... 1 Goldenmero ... ... 2 Ordnance ... ... 3 Scratched —Pallas and Secret Society, Hypnotist came through from the distance and won by a length. Time, lmin 3scc.
