Penalties. — Flat Races: The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs; and of any additional race a further penalty of 61bs. Horses handicapped at Bst lOlbs or over to carry only half the above penalties. Hurdles: The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs; and for any additional hurdle race 71bs extra. 3. A winner of a Trotting Race after declaration of handicaps to be rehandicapped. Denfinition of a Hack. —A hack is a horse that has not won a race of the value of 80 soys, or races of the collective value of 200 soys, up to date of nomination, since Ist August, 1899. Nominations close for all baoes on Saturday, 7th March, at the Secretary's Office, Market Place, Blenheim, at 9 p.m. Weights for First Day's Races declared on or about Thursday, 12th March. Acceptances for First Day's Races (except Maiden) close at Secretary's Office, Monday, 16th Marob, at 9 p.m. Weights for Second Day's Races declared on Wednesday, 25th March, at 8 p.m. Acceptances for Second Day's Races close on Wednesday, 25th March, at 9 p.m. C.
