"■'•___ Replying to a query as to the team, he said they had lots of batting, good fielding, .and varied bewling. The bowlers were Thompson, Hargreaves, Bosanquet, Dowson, and Burnup. Thompson was the fastest right-hand, and Hargreaves the left-handed bowler. Bosanquet was both fast and slow, and Dowson slow. He had received a cable stating that Lord Hawke was not coming out, in consequence ef an accident *nd the illness of his mother.
