Inveroargill, October 4.
At the Police Court Charles Lisk and John Francis pleaded guilty to having trout in their possessioa out of season. Counsel for the prosecution stated that defendants admitted that 59 trout, averaging 61bs each, were caught in a net while fishing for mullet in the New River estuary. Mr McCarthy, S.M., imposed a fine of £2 10s each, with costs.
