The second annual mcoling of the Wai ran Trotting Club commenced to day with excellent weather and a fir attendance. Mr J. Barry, tho popular secretary, has every depart raent connected with the meeting working smoothly, and is well supported by energetic stewards. A pub lican's booth is under the care of Mr J. Penney. Trial IIANDicAr, of 8 soys. One mile. W. E. Green's Merry, IBsec ... 1 W. Tait's Harrowtine, Bseo ... 2 \V. Lane's Workman, scratch ... JJ An easy win for Merry, who eased up in the home stretch. Harrowtine trotted weil, but could not get up. Time, 3min lsec. ; Stewards' Handicap, of lOsovs. One and a hnlf miles. T. Fowler's Minx, 31sec ... ... 1 C. Berry's Brockleigh, 13sec ... 2 A. Maher's Unkoba, 12sec ... 3 Liability and Czarina also started. But for breaking Brockleigh might have troubled the winner, who won by 70 yards. Unkoba also broke badly. Czarina was last. Time, 4min 35sec.
