The State Fire Insurance Bill and Local Authorities Coronation Celebration Indemnity Bill 'were introduced and read the first time.
QUESTIONS.
In reply to questions, Ministers stated that it was not intended to deal with the question of consolidating local government legislation this session.
That the Government had no intention of re-opening negotiations for the purchase of the Wellington^!anawatu line.
The House rose at 5.30.
