Palmerston N., July 8. A meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Pig-breeders' Association was held here to-day, when a large number of applications were received from breeders for entry of their stock in the new Herd Book. The reports received were of a very satisfactory nature, and there is every indication that the Association wHI justify its existence in raising the standard of all breeds 6f Pigs.
