, ; GISBOBNE, July 7. The Gisborne branch of the Farmers' Union to-day resolved that every effort be made by the Farmers' Union now in Conference at Wellington to provide for the colony obtaining better facilities for handling all frozen produce in London, and with that object in view the Government should be approached to subsidise freezing stores to enable produce to be handled safely at- a minimum cost. Tfce opinion was expressed that Sir J. Ward would be in a better position to realise the necessity for this work than others who had not been so closely associated with the frozen meat industry.
