The match against Warwickshire opened in fine weather, and the wicket is good. Kelly, Trumble, and Howell are not playing. The home team batted first, and are all out for 124. The innings opened well, and 41 runs were on the board before the first wicket fell. The second fell at 62, the third at 80, the fourth and fifth at 98, and the other wickets fell in quick succession. The highest scorers were Kinneir, who played a faultless innings for 38 ; Devey, 21; Quaife, 21. Armstrong took five wickets for 13, Jones three for 52. The Australians have lost one wicket for 44—Trumper, not out, 27.
