THE WAIRAU HOSPITAL.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, —I wish to correct <( One-Who Suffers." He says, speaking of the Hospital, " there are no patients." At the present time tbe women's ward is full, and there are nine patients in the men's ward, and this number is often exceeded. He states further that the present Secretary receives 10 per cent, for collecting accounts, and that the late Secretary handed back his salary to the institution. This is also incorrect. Tho present Secretary does not receive anything for collecting accounts ; he gets £60 per annum, and the lato Secretary had £80, which he never handed back.—l am, etc.,
William Macey.
