The result of the labors of the Representation Commission, so far aa Wellington district is concerned, is that there will be three members of the city, as before. A new constituency, however, is to be formed in the Hutt Valley, taking, in practically the whole of the valley and probably to be known as the Hutt.
The new constituency will be composed of Petons, the whole of the Hutt Valley, Wainuiomata, Kaiwarra, Ngahauranga, Muritai, Crofton and Khandallah, and will go right up to the summit, taking in the Kaitoke range. There will be a boundary between it and the Wairarapa constituencies. A larger portion of Newtown than at present will be thrown into the suburbs, which will also take in Island Bay, Kilbirnie, Brooklyn, Mitchelltown and Karori. The Ofcaki electorate will begin at and include Johnstonville, and will go up to the neighborhood of the Manawatu River, taking in Shannon.
