THE SERVICE AT ST. PAUL'S.

ENTERTAINMENT OF CHILDREN

IN LONDON.

Received June 27,11.46 p.m.

London, June 27. Intercessory services were held throughout the Empire yesterday.

Many striking tokens of foreign sorrow were shown in all capitals.

A beautiful and impressive service, attended by the most representative congregation ever seen, was held at St. Paul's. It included the Archbishop of Canterbury and York, many Bishops and Royalties, ministers and exministers, the Sheriffs, the Lord Mayor, Sir Wilfred and Lady Laurier, Sr Gordon Sprigg, Sir J. Hime, Sir J. Forrest, Mrs Douglas, Lady Robinson, and President Roosevelt's sister. A silent and sympathetic multitude assembled in the adjacent thoroughfares. The bulletins were read in New York theatres. The entire audience at Wallack's rose and sang " God Save the King." The Prince and Princess of Wales entertained 1300 children, mostly orphans, at dinner at Marlborough House yesterday. Colonial visitors were given an opportunity of seeing the fleet before its dispersal.
