THE RIGHTS OF ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN.

*, _ Press Association. Electric Telegraph Copyright. Dunedin, June 27. The Arbitration Court resumed this morning, when the question of the division of the estate of Archibald McLean, deceased, came before the Court. There are two illegitimate children, whom Mr F. R. Chapman contended were entitled to participate in the estate. He admitted that authorities gave no ruling in his favor, but contended the Court had power to decide. Mr Woodhouse held the Court must administer the statute the same as the Supreme Court. The Judge said the point was interesting, and he would take time to consider it.
