At the adjourned meeting of the Grey Licensing Bench, 19 applications, which had been held over to have alterations and repairs effected, were considered, Tn most instances the police requirements had been complied with. In two cases a guarantee was given that new buildings would be erected at once. In two.other cases the Committee intimated that if the next Committee were of the same opinion as the Bench these two houses would have to be rebuilt next year. Eighteen applications were granted. An application for a wholesale license was refused, the Bench being of the opinion that they had no power to grant the same, holding that .the local option poll covered wholesale licenses.
