Russell, and John Logan Campbell, Knights. Received June 27, 1.38 a.m. Sir Gordon Sprigg, Cape Premier, Sir A. Satow, British Minister in China, receive Grand Crosses ; W. L. Allardyce, Receiver-General of Fiji, W. L. Mercer, Crown Agent for the Colonies, Mr Leake, recently deceased Premier of Western Australia, Colonels O. Tunbridge (Queensland) and Bauchope (New Zealand) are made Commanders of the orders of St. Michael and St. George. An order of merit was instituted including Lords Roberts, Wolseley, Kitchener, Rayleigh, Kelvin, and Lister, Mr John Morley, Admirals Keppel and Seymour, and Sir J. Watts, academician.
