The townspeople of Blenheim have made a most effective display of decorations in preparations for the Coronation of the King. A large quantity of native vegetation has been brought into requisition, and yesterday afternoon the town was dressed in the best festive trappings it has ever worn. Not a building but had its ornamentations, and not a verandah post was bare. An attractive design appeared in front of the Government Buildings, and the rotunda is a bower of greenery and flags. An arch in Market Street South, in front of Mr Carr's buildings, is a prominent feature of the decorations. It was generally regretted that the beautification of the town would not be seen in its intended effect.
