TELEGRAPHIC COMMUNICATION OPEN.

Wellington, June 25«

Sir J. Ward wires (time handed in 3.45 p.m.) :—" Have just received the following telegram from Mr Seddon, timed London 7.15 p.m., 24th. The operation was successful. Rumors are disquieting. Pray God preserve His Majesty the King this hour of trial.— Seddon."

All telegraphic and telephone offices will re-open to-night at 7 o'clock and again at 10 o'clock, and it is proposed t j arrange for an all-night telegraphic service between here and Sydney. There will be no post and telegraph holiday to-morrow; offices will open as usual.—J. G. Ward, Acting-Premier.
