THE MAORI DEMONSTRATION.
Twelve Maori girls from the Waikawa Pah are proceeding to the Wairau Pah to day to take part in a few final practices of the poi dances. Sixty Maoris will come from Picton to the Wairau Pah to morrow to assist in the proceedings, and other natives are coming from the Croixelles and Pelorus Sound.
