JUNIORS.

The Wairau and Albion match was played in town, and was a very hard contested game, but the play was at times of too rough a nature. The Wairau backs did not play as well as usual, and neither side seemed able to score. From a mark, however, Daly landed a goal, and the maroons thus won by four points to nil.

The Awarua and Pirate Juniors were to play at Spring Creek, but the game was a farce, lasting only a few minutes, .the Awaruas practically giving the game to the Pirates. It was rough on the latter that they should have to travel such a distance and not have a game.
