Club Hotel.—The new Club Hotel will be open for the conduct of business to-morrow (Saturday). A description of the house has already appeared in these columns. It has been well and thoroughly furnished throughout, and sustotners and the travelling public can rely upon receiving every comfort •tnd attention at the new hostelry. Blenheim Stock Sale.-■'-The next monthly stock sale will be held at the saleyards of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company on Wednesday, 23rd instant, for Avhicli several good lines of sheep are already entered. Farmers are requested to send in particulars of their entries early, so that they may be fully advertised before the sale. As this will bo one of the last sales of the season it is expected the yarding of store sheep, lambs, and cattle will be a large one. "Home Rule," once very much discussed, Is laid aside and left to rust. Old Gladstone, spite of all his skill, Failed to pass this famous Bill. How often do the greatest fail ?
