THE PEARLING INDUSTRY.

Brisbane, April 9. Over six hundred men connected with the pearling industry have removed to new headquarters in Dutch New Guinea. This means a loss to Queensland of £25,000, besides the loss to business people at Thursday Island. Melbourne, April 9. In view of the removal of vthe headquarters of the pearling industry, the Government is making immediate in- ' quiries with a view to seeing how far the circumstances justify the action which is being taken.
