♦ Press Association. Electric Telegraph, . Copyright, Auckland, April 9. News has been received by the 'Frisco mail of the death in London of Mrs Lillywhite, mother of Chas. Lillywhite, who was arrested in Wellington ' charged with murder in Colchester, England. Wellington, April 9. - The members of the Victorian Factories Commission arrived at Wellington to-day. They paid a visit to the ~ sitting of the Arbitration Court. Wanganui, Apvil 9. Heavy rain yesterday and last night caused a considerable freshet in the river, and the Upokongaro Ferry, nine miles up the river, was washed -out to sea. Otherwise little or no damage has been done.
