POLLARD OPERA COMPANY.

We again remind our readers that the box plan for Pollard's Company is now open at Mrs Bushell's, whore seats may be booked for each or any of the three nights of the season, which commences on uoxfc Wednesday evening 21st inst. As previously announced, " Florodora" will be the opening piece, in which the two English artists, Miss Lulu Evans and Miss Alice Edgar, will make their first appearance before a Blenheim audience. Miss Evans will take the part of Dolores, hitherto undertaken by Miss May Beatfcy, and Miss Alice Edgar that of Lady Holyrood, hitherto taken by Miss Maud Beatty. The two artists referred to above were engaged by Mr J. C. Williamson during his recent trip to England, and Blenheim theatregoers will have an opportunity of making their acquaintance before they make their debut in Auckland, Christ church, or Dunedin. Miss Rosie Evesson is another youngvlady of great ability specially engaged by Mr Pollard. Her cleverly executed dancing (in which she is supported by Mr W. Percy) as Madame Dart-oh in Florodora is one of the features of the piece " 'ihe Casino Girl," to be staged on Thursday evening is also new to Blenheim, and rivals Florodora in popularity. " Maritana," to be produced on the third and last night, is a piece in which the Blenheim boy, Mr Chas. Carter, is said to fairly excel himself. Critics bave gone so far as to describe his Don Cajzar as the best seen for many a long day ; while the company as a whole give a capital renderiug of Vincent Wallace's great and immortal work. Although Mr Pollard has added to his company many new faces, such old and popular favorites as Miss Gertie Campion, Mioses Zoe and Wilmot Karkeek, Miss Alice Pollard, Miss Nellie Wilson, and Messrs W. Percy, C. Carter, D. O'Connor, Alf. Stephens, and H. Quealy, and others are still with him. The ordinary 8.15 train to Picton on Friday evening will be delayed until after the performance.
