Wanganui, December 15.

A man named Charles Stanley Corry committed suicide on Saturday afternoon by cutting his throat with a razor. The man is supposed to have no relations in the colony. A letter addressed to his brother; a clergyman in Queensland, written two days before the suicide, was found on deceased, in which his intention of committing the act was slated.

Palmerston N m December 15.

At the Te Kapu block yesterday a lad named Weeks was thrown from a horse and dragged, sustaining concussion o£ the brain and other severe injuries. He was brought to the Palmerstou Hospital yesterday afternoon by train, and succumbed to his injuries to-day.
