THE MINERVA VICTORIOUS.
Received July 22, 9 a.m. London, July 21.
The warship Minerva beat the Hyacinth in the boiler test race from Gibraltar to Portsmouth.
[Both these vessels are twin-screw cruisers of the second class, of 6500 tons, and carrying 11 guns. The engines of the Hyacinth are 10,000 horse-power, and thoso of the Minerva 9600.]
