After the race the Stewards held an inquiry as to tho running of Kaloo, whom many thought should have won. The result was the rider, Fowler, was reprimanded. our. - Ruamahunga ... ... •• Volley ... Ruamahunga was lying in a liandv position at the rear of the field tifl reaching the straight, when, he came up and got on even terms with Volley .jusfc on £he post. Sanfoin, who carried 81bs over-weight, was about a length and a half behind, Dividends—Ruamahunga, £2 18s and 365; Volley, £1 10s and 13s.
