Christchukoh, April 15. On Friday evening an elderly lady returning home to Papaimi between 7 and 9, was robbed. As she was walking along a lonely road she was accosted by a man Avho demanded her purse. Noticing a bright steel object in his hand she complied—her purse, jewellery, and even sleeve links and a parcel of blouses she was carrying being handed over.
Auckland, April 15. The Auckland Amateur Athletic Cycle Club has decided to apply to have the next New Zealand champion-ship-held in Auckland between December 21st and the New Year.
Tiie Australasian championships are to be held at the centre appointed for the first-named gathering.
