After going six furlongs Paul Pry dashed away and assmned twenty lengths' lead, La Carabine second and San Fran leading Advance by four lengths. This order was continued till tlie last mile, when La Carabine had drawn up to within a length of Paul Pry; San Fran two lengths ahead of Advance. At the six furlongs La Carabine went up to Paul Pry, the latter retiring soon afterwards. San Fran led the mare half a length at the sheds, where Advance was third, six lengths off. The order continued thus to the straight, where La Carabine wont level with San Fran, and at the distance had him beaten, winning by threequarters of a length. Advance was. three lengths off.
