LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cable message from the Aacnt-General, dated March 30th :—" Butter, 100s; there is better demand for butter ; cheese, 475, market dull. Some holders are forcing sales. New Zealand hemp, good fair Wellington, £24 10s ; fair current Manila, £34. Hemp market is depressed; indifferent deliveries, market dependent c n Manila reports. Cocksfoot seed, 171b standard, 325, market speculative. Mutton dull: Canterbury average ; Dunedin, 4d ; North Island, 3£d ; Australian 3d; River Plate, 3Jd. Lamb steady; Canterbury, s;|d ; others, sj!d ; Australian, 4fjd. Beef quiet; hinds, olid; fores, 31 d."
