The Polo Association's tournament was brought to a conclusion to- day by a gymkahana and races at Miramar. The weather was b3autifnlly fine, and there was a large attendance of the public.
The cup was won by Hard Times, the property of Mr J. D. Hall, of Christchurch, with O'Rorke's Retail second, and Keiller's Imp third. The hurdles were fron by McKenzie's Bonfire, Baron Wedell's Racket second, and H. Duncan's Bay Rum third. K. Dalrymplo rode both winners.
Gheymouth, March 31. Dredging returns are: —New River, for various periods to 23rd March, 20ozs, for 61 hours past week, lOozs 17dwts; Buller Junction 33ozsgold, 93 hours; Reeves' Proprietory 7ozs 16dwts of gold, 72 hours ; Waipuna Bozs odwts for the week. The report last Saturday for this claim should have been llozs for the week and 7ozs for a broken week not reported, total 18ozs.
