IWTOTICE is hereby given that at a -^ meeting of the Council of tho Borough of Blenheim, held on Friday, the first day of March, which was specially called for the purpose, a resolution was duly passed, v That the Wards of this Borough be abolished." EDUCATION DISTRICT OF MARLBOROUGH. IT is hereby publicly notified that the statutory MEETINGS of HOUSEHOLDERS for the Election of School Committees throughout the District, shall be held on MONDAY, 22nd of April, at the following times and places, A riz. :— Schoolhouses at Blenheim, Canvastown, Cullensville, Deep Creek, Fairhall, Grove, Grovetown, Havelock, Have'ock Suburban, Kaituna, Marlboroughtown, North Bank, Marshlands, Okaramio, Omaka, Onamalutu, Picton, Renwick, Spring Creek, Springlands, . Tua Marina, and Waitohi, at 7.30 p.m. At the Schoolhouses at Kekerangu, Port Underwood, Wairau Valley and Waitaria Bay, at 12.30 p.m. The number of members to be elected shall be as follows:— For the Blenheim school district, nine members; for the Deep Creek, Grove, Kaituna, Kekerangu, Omaka, North Bank, Port Underwood, and Wairau Valley school districts, five members ; and for the remaining school districts, seven members. The Board hereby calls upon the householders of the several school districts to send, in writing, to the chairmen of their respective districts, not later than eight o'clock p.m. on MONDAY, 15th April, the names of persons, being Resident Householders, nominated by them for election to serve on the Committee for the ensuing year.. Each nomination must be signed by the proposer and the candidate.
