WESTRALIA'S POLICY.
STATEMENT BY THE PREMIER

The Premier (Hon. G. Throssell) has outlined the Government's policy. The essential features are the straightening out of the finances of the colony and the wise development of its resources, the extension of land settleine« fc, the furtliei* liberalisation of the land laws, the establishment of an Agricultural Bank, and the abolition of plural voting.
In order to complete the Government works programme an additional loan of £3,950,000 is required* Mr Throssell favored a substantial re■duction of the number of members in the State Assembly.
The Government will stand or fall by the rentention of the sliding-scale in Customs duties provided under the Commonwealth Act.
