Wellington, February 13. The candidates fcr the Rough Riders were finally reduced to 61, of whom 11 provide their own equipment and over 20 their own horses. Besides -these, 11 emergencies were chosen, who will have first claim should vacancies arise or the number bs increased. Included m the list are several Waira apa men, but they will be rejected if their cost is not defrayed out of funds collected m the Wairarapa. Only five men are volunteers.
