. + THANKS FROM THE FIELDMARSHALL. Wellington, February 12. After the Second Contingent had left Albany, the Premier informed Lord Roberts, and gave the number of officers and men, and informing him they should arrive at Durbaa on the 20th to await orders. He bat received the following reply :<— * "Moddbr River, 11th. — Many thanks for your telegram. I look forward with great pleasure to the arrival of the Second Contingent! from New Zealand. They will be ft valuable welcome addition to on* force. — Robhrts."
