SUPREME COURT SITTINGS.
[united fbkbs association.] Christohtjroh, February 12. The criminal sessions of the Supreme Oourt were opened this morning before Mr Justice Denniston. There were 26 charges against 22 prisoners. His Honor m his charge said the calendar was exceptionally long, but there was only one case of a serious character. The following sentences were passed : Richmond flata Momo, forgery, twelvemonths; Laurence William Jellings, theft of a saddle, three months ; Edward Hansen, breaking and entering and stealing jewellery, three months, m addition to two months already served ; Frederick Buchanan, discharging a pea rifle at another boy, case reduced to a common assault and accused ordered to be bound over m one surety to keep the peace; James button, on a number of charges of stealing tools, six months' imprisonment; Frederick Cooper, forgery and uttering, two years ; JRobt. Ohas. Petersen, breaking and entering and theft, three months ; a girl named Amelia Emily Blank for forgery and uttering a cheque wt.s placed on probation for six months. All the prisoners pleaded guilty.
