COLONEL FOX.

WILL TAKE A COMMAND. Chbistohtooh, February 10. In response to the urgent request of the War Committee, Col. Fox has consented to take command of the Canterbury troops, on condition tha*, he is allowed to select one Imperial non-commissioned officer at present m service m the colony to accompany him. Major Joweey's commission as Major oi the Imperial service is to be antedated so as to make him senior to Col. Fox. The Committee wired the Premier asking the Government to accept this as a solution of the difficulty.
