Avoklavi), February 10. The Auckland Cycling Club's Patriotic fund Meeting was held to-day at the Domain. Reynolds Bros, rode the most prominently. 3000 people were present. Wellington, February 10. The More Men Fund has now reached over £2700, besides £1500 collected at Masterton, PEOPLE'S SUBSCRIPTION LIST. We have decided to OPEN A PEOPLE'S BUBSOBIPTION LIST, bo that all can, m a praotioal way, show their sympathy with the movement that oalminated m the despatch of a Mew Zea : land Contingent to South Africa and do something towards providing that the for tunea of war aball not entail distress on those dependent on the men who have volunteered for service. The fond will also bo available for assisting those of oar kith and kin who are m distress through being foroed to abandon their homea m the Trans* vaal, Gape Colony, or Natal. Subscriptions mast not ezoeed Ten Shillings nor be lees than ONE SHILLING, All donations received through the medium of the post or otherwise will be duly acknowledged m the columns of the Mah> BOROUGH EIPBESS.
