♦ DISASTROUS SHELLS. BRITISH REINFORCEMENTSIMPRISONMENT OP DISLOYAL DUTCH. BRITISH LOSSES AT STORMBERG. Capetown, December 14. One shell on Sunday fell amidst a Boer prayer meeting. Another lyddite killed twenty Boers. London, December 14. The fifth division of 11,000 men, under Lieut-General Sir Charles Warren, arrives at Capetown within ten days. Military experts admire the Australian troops, who would be more useful if all were mounted. Durban, December 14. Pour Natal Dutchmen were sentenced to five years' imprisonment on charges of disloyalty. Capetown, December 14. Twenty-three British were killed, and 62 wounded at the battle of Stormberg.
