THE OTAKI SEAT.
Wellington, December 12. Before his death Mr Field «x pressed the wish that liin brother should contest the seat, and the election committees met to-day and asked him to stand. This bo consented to do, and the Premier having accepted him, Mr W. H. Field will be the Government candidate.
