The Council met at 2 30. The Government EmergencyJLoans to Local Bodies Bill passed the final stages. The second reading of the Victoria College Bill was agreed to. At 5 p.m. the Council adjourned till 7.30, The Council resumed at 7.30. The Water Supply Act Amend* ment Bill, Aid to Public Works Act Amendment Bill, and Westport Harbor Board Loan Bill passed the final stages. The second readings of the Aliens Immigration Restriction Bill, Leases and Sales of Settled Estates Act Amendment Bill, and Lyttelton Har bor Board Loan Bill were, agreed to. The Council adjourned at 9.40.
