DEATH OP A MAN. A CHARGE OP MURDER. [USITBD PBEBB ASSOCIATION.] Napier, Ootober 6. A man named Henry Storey, about 70 years of age, was killed at Hastings last evening, as the result of a drunken brawl. Deceased and a man named Thomas McPhail and several others were refused drink at the Railway Hotel. They left, and began wrangling outside, McPhail accused Storey of being the cause of them not being able to get drink. Storey's retort annoyed McPhail, who struck him m the mouth, causing deceased to fall and strike his head severely on the pavement. He was conveyed to the hotel, but died m a few minutes. Storey was a native of New South Wales, coming to N.Z m 1841. McPhail has been arrested on a charge of murder.
