Adams wrote enquiring terms as to the leasing of the old echoolhouse.— Matter deferred, OULLEHSVITJ-B. The Committee wrote protesting against the stoppage of capitation. The decrease of the attendance dur ing two quarters was due to no fault of the Committee. On the motion of Mr McCallura it was resolved to inform the Committee that if the attendanco kept up to the requisite status, as it promised to do, for another month, the Board would see that the Committee would not be put to any straits on account of expenses for firewood and other neces* saries An account of 15s, forwarded by the Committee, was passed for payment, the Committee to be warned that it was not the custom of the Board to acknowledge unauthorised expenditure] The Committee asked that further accommodation be added to the teacher's residence. Consideration of the matter was postponed till next meeting when the Secretary will be able to submit a report. ENDEAYOH INLET. Sir W. Forbes was given permission to use the school property from year to year for £l per annum, with three months notice of quittance if the property is required for school purposes. PAIBHALL. The Committee was granted £1 5s for a pump. KBNEPEBT7. Mr E. H. Nawtown, Ferndale, Wrote notifying that Miss L. F. Brewer had been engaged as teacher.— Appointment confirmed. HAVJLOCK, The Committee was granted a clock. PORT UNDERWOOD. A clock was granted to this school. TTJA MARINA. A quantity of school furniture, including a clock, was granted to this school. V FRENOH PASS. Mrs M. Wells wrote asking that an aided school be established at Waikawa, Trench Pass. There were two children m the locality requiring education. Application granted on usual terms. MABBHLAHDS. It was resolved that the accounts of Marshlands Committee be audited at the Board's office.
