Two infantry regiments have been sent to Suakim to serve m a Soudan expedition. There has been some enormous scoring m County cricket, and eleven centuries were recorded during the past week. Yorkshire county, playing against Warwickshire, scored 887 ; Jackson contributing 117, Wainwright 126, Peel 210, Lord Hawk 166. Albert Trott played for Thornton's Eleven against Cambridge University, and scored 58, showing good form.
