During the opening performance of Fitzgerald Bros' circus last night, Peart, while attempting to dive from the dome into a small tank of water, struck the edge of the tank with his chest, and died later m the evening. The impact was so great that, according to medical evidence, anyone with less vitality and energy would have been killed instantly. Peart was able, with assistance, to leave the tank.
