( The Poisons Importation and Carriage Bill passed through Con> mitteo, the principal amendments made being that the p isons mentioned m the schedule should be packed m iron watertight drums painted red. The schedule was further amended so as to include only arserdc and cyanide potassium, and the third reading was fixed for Tuesday. ANIMALS PROTECTION. The Animals Protection Bill was committed, and amended with a view to make all vessels come under the provisions of the bill with a view to prevent the introduction of venomous snakeß and insects into the Colony. The third reading- was fixed for Tuesday, to which day the Council . adjourned.
