DEATH OF A JOCKEY.

Auckland, April 5. A sad accident ocourred at the Waipa races yesterday. An Auckland Jockey, Henry Priest, 20 years of age, riding Folly m the Flying Stakes was pulling up the mare on the pott when she crossed her legs and threw Priest on his head fracturing his skull. He expired three hours afterwards. At the inquest it appeared that death was the result of a pure accident and tho verdict was accordingly.
