Further proceedings m couneotion with the Mercantile Bank have been taken, and to-day Mr Lorimer, Juatics of the Peace, granted informations against the auditors, manager, and directors (exoept Sir Graham Berry) on a charge of issuing a false balanoesheet. Received August 22, noon. Melbodbhb, August 22. Mr Panton, Magistrate, explains that the Minister of Justice refused an order to issua summonses against Sir M. D&vies and Milledgo, on the grounds that no freih evidence was forthcommc;.
