To Property Owners, Estate Agents Hotel Proprietors, Householders, and the Public generally. THE SANITUM IS a New Washable Paperhanging protected by Royal Letters Patent, and is undoubtedly the Wallpaper of the future. The following are several reasons why everyone should give the Sanitum preference over all other class of Paperhangings. Public Opinion.— The "Sanitam" is highly recommended, and possesses the qaalities advocated by the principal medical journals, leading physicians, and sanitary authorities. Health Properties.— The Sanitum is printed m washable antiseptic colour, which will never decompose, and has been tested by C. Estcourt, P.C.S., P. 1.0. (Public Analyst to the City of Manchester, and the Boroughs of Oldham, Macclesfield, Ashton-nnder-Lyne, Lancaster, and Bacup), with the disinfectants, viz: a solution of Corrosive sublimate, containing one part of mercuric chloride to 500 parts of water ; a solution of carbolic acid, containing 5 parts m 100 parts of water, a solution of Sanitus itself without dilution; a solution of sulphurous aoid, the action of which is much stronger than any fumes of sulphur ous acid produced by burning sulphur m the ordinary fumigating apparatus. The foregoing tests are the most severe whioh could be applied to either wallpaper or any other form of mural decoration. Extract from report of Dr A. Jasper Anderson, M.A., M.B. (Oxon), D.P.H. (Cantab), M.R.C.S. Medical Offioer of Health, Blackpool— After any outbreak of infectious disease m a room papered with your patent Sanitura Wallpaper, it would not be necessary to strip off the old paper, and replace with new paperhangings. Extract from report of Dr K. H. Qaine, L.R.C.P., &c, surgeon and physician : — The possibility of ÜBing disinfeotanta of sooh high concentration, without injury to the paper produces a revolution m domestic sanitation. For Hospitals, Hotels, and Lodging Houses nothing could be better, as the walls ppuldthen be frequently washed down with disinfectants, and so a perfectly sanitary condition maintained."
